About Us

The Creative Industries Marketing Stockvel (CIMS) connects and supports independent art producers to build and sustain audiences through a stockvel system that gives them access to space, marketing support, and a communal ticket sales strategy.

\We do this by identifying and bringing together different stakeholders to create a conducive ecosystem for the arts to flourish. By fostering strategic partnerships with community members, local businesses, municipalities, and institutions of higher learning, we assist to develop local arts practitioners and contribute to arts education and participation of the broader society.

CIMS Africa Co-Director

Moses D Rasekele

Moses D. Rasekele is an actor, director, drama facilitator, arts manager and marketing strategist. He is the founder of D-Tour Experience, Phaphadi Executive Castings and Creative Industries Marketing Stockvel. He has a BA Honours degree in Dramatic Arts, post graduate diploma in Arts, Culture and Heritage Management and a postgraduate qualification in Drama. A former managing director of Alex Arts Academy where he was responsible for student academic development, and led the programs and projects office. 

His drama facilitation experience includes projects at the Joburg Theatre, Drama for Life, Creative Community Platform, Department of Education and Fame SA. His television features range from Generations-the-Legacy, Majakathata, Soul City, Rhythm City, Isono, Broken Vows, Inkaba to Skeem Saam.He has directed and produced plays in South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana and Mozambique. He is passionate about continental cultural exchanges.

Mammatli Thakhuli Nzuza

Mammatli Thakhuli-Nzuza is a Facilitator, Storyteller, Critical Reflexive Practitioner and Arts Entrepreneur. She holds a Masters degree in Theatre in Education, Communities and Social Contexts from Wits University, where she majored in Drama in Education and Theatre as Activism. She is an accredited Community Capacity Enhancement (CCE) facilitator trained through the Nelson Mandela Foundation. She creates and holds Creative Critical Reflective spaces for employees in corporate spaces to process and engage with new management ideas through Applied Arts Practice. Through Business and Arts South Africa (BASA), Mammatli has trained young emerging artists across the country in social entrepreneurship skills.

She is the co-founder of BuaPuoPha and the South African Playback Theatre Association (SAPTA).  She has recently undertaken the Social Entrepreneurship Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) which inspired her to co-found the Creative Industries Marketing Stockvel (CIMS).
